Scouting Report

Offense-Defense Football

Natural instincts and football smarts, combined with his athletic abilities and size, makes Major a top linebacker prospect. A superb tackler and pass rusher, Major uses his explosive speed in breaking up draws and screens. He needs to work on his sideline-to-sideline speed, but otherwise his techniques are top-notch. His presence in the middle is reminiscent of AJ Hawk at this stage of his career.

It's great to see him stay in state and become a CU Buff. Hawkins is an awesome recruiter and could add the top running back in the nation,Darrell Scott, to his 2008 recruiting class. If Hawkins keeps this up, Colorado will become a Big 12 threat.
