The top pocket passer in 2009 class. Matt has great poise and leadership. His arm strength and timing are good allowing him to make all the throws. Matt definitely looks like the poster boy for the prototype QB and has been a no brainer since the summer prior to his sophomore year. At most schools he'd compete for the starting job on the first day.

This guy has a cannon. and hes very accurate. it will be great to see him at southern cal. probably the best arm i have seen commin out of high school.

Not taken any credit away from this guy, he definitely can throw a football...but from the video that I watched on here and the UA All-star game on ESPN, he has all the time in the world to sit back and throw, it should be expected that he completes passes. I would wanna see how he would handle under some pressure and a couple pocket collapses...

Matt barkley is a good football player and i am a Big fan but russell is a dual threat qb who could throw as good as he can run.But in college Pete Carrol is going to make barkley a way better qb than russell because lsu does not have the rep of producing a better quaterbacks than Pete Carrol
